It is at this time of the year that we must all review the past year, ask ourselves what went well, what didn’t go so well and how we can move forward into the new year with improved systems and practices and new objectives.

2012 threw up many challenges. Some of those were economic, something we are all experiencing while we wait for the economy to improve. The weather, with the amount of wet weather we have had this year, completing any outside works has been challenging to say the least. 2012 certainly gave us lots to celebrate with increased contracts and new customers. We are leaving this year in a strong position as Haines is expanding to meet the new challenges ahead.

Moving forward into 2013 we are currently increasing the training qualifications of our supervisors. Currently all have a minimum of Site Safety Supervisors Training Scheme qualification. The majority of our supervisors will now have achieved the Site Managers Safety Training Scheme qualification so that we are ready to meet the high standards of Health and Safety required by our clients. Our projected workload for 2013 already exceeds that of 2012 so we look forward to 2013 with optimism and enthusiasm to meet new challenges.

All of us at Haines would like to wish all of our customers, past, present and future a very Happy Christmas and a safe, prosperous and happy new year.
