We have been receiving a lot of calls recently about employment. We are currently at full strength and we are not Seeking any more decorators.

You can still send your CV if you match the criteria listed below and we will keep it on file in case any vacancies arise in the future.

We are only currently retaining CV’s from persons who match the following.

Have a current CSCS card – Minimum requirement

Have either or all of - PASMA / IPAF / SSSTS Certificates – Minimum requirement

Variety is the spice of life

This week we are continuing our work at several hospitals around South Wales including specialist coatings to Operating Theaters. We are continuing our work at several banks as well as painting some domestic houses. All in all a great variety of work. Work for our men consists of general painting, paper hanging and as mentioned application of a specialist product for the operating theaters called Wallflex.

We are keen to tell you about our new service. We have operated in the Construction industry for over a decade now. We have completed many high prestige contracts in the area of decorations. We now have a small team of expert builders, carpenters and electricians that can complete small building works.

We are currently seeking new customers who are looking to have house extensions, loft conversions, garage conversions or similar work carried out. Our tradesmen are fully qualified and come with all the backing of our well established and trusted company based in Cardiff.

We would like to Welcome Neil this week who is joining us from college for a weeks work experience. We hope he learns a lot to take back to college with him at the end of the week.

What is in the Pipeline.

Hello and here we are in February already. We are always keen to keep up with the times and we are working on our new LinkedIn account along with Twitter accounts. We would very much welcome you to follow the links and join us.

We are currently working towards completing the first wing of the new Mental Health unit at Llandough Hospital. Works continue at Morriston Hospital Operating Theatres along with several other hospital sites around South Wales. HSBC Banks are keen to spruce up their branches as official sponsors of the Olympic Games and we are involved in redecorating their branches throughout South Wales and beyond. With ongoing projects at many Castle  Bingo sites, numerous office sites as well as redecorating many private houses we feel that we are doing our best to Make Wales and the UK look it’s very best.

Recently two more of our employees successfully passed their IPAF certification and can now operate Mobile Working platforms. 50% of our team now have this qualification. Providing opportunities for our team to gain industry qualifications is important on a number of levels.  Firstly we know that opportunities to develop are important for a highly skilled and highly motivated team. Secondly we can ensure that we comply fully with all Health and Safety requirements when completing contracts.

We remain optimistic about prospects for 2012 and will continue to provide the best possible service to all our clients.

 

Our Team qualifications

As an Investors in People company we have placed the training and development of our team as one of our priorities.

All of our operatives carry CSCS cards and NVQ2 qualifications.

All foreman hold their Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme qualifications (SSSTS).

We have a broad base of operatives with relevant PASMA and IPAF qualifications.

We provide ROSPA approved training to everyone in areas such as Asbestos Awareness, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Lone working, and many other relevant subjects.

We insist that our Foremen deliver regular Construction Skills tool box talks to workers in their teams. We maintain accurate records of all TBT’s that are delivered, by whom and to whom.

Building Works

We have recently completed several projects where we have been the Principle contractor. Brunel House in Bristol, a 40 bed nursing home required extensive re fitting throughout with new fitted kitchens to be installed along with extensive plumbing and electrical refurbishment throughout. We have most recently completed work at Mildef in Cardiff. They are a computer repairs workshop. Our remit here included works beyond decorations. We handled the building works as well which consisted of removal of walls, installation of partitions, electrical and plumbing works.

At Haines we are able to handle projects that entail building works and refurbishment. Commercial examples are detailed in the above paragraph. We are also keen to hear from anyone who require works to be carried out such as garage conversions, extensions or general maintenance contracts.

New Web Site

Those of you that are regular visitors may have noticed that our web site is looking a bit different. The important priority was to get our new site up and running on the new software. Going forward the site should develop quickly and become functional particularly via the ‘latest news’ entries and with regular updates and we hope images of our latest projects.

The ‘Latest News’ Items is also the place to come back to if you are looking for employment as it will be as a news item that we will announce if we are actively recruiting.

We are not currently looking for any more decorators at present but it is always worthwhile forwarding your CV by e mail so we can keep it on record and contact you should any suitable positions become available.
